The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) have launched a flood awareness campaign, which looks to encourage people living or working in at-risk areas to be aware of how flooding could affect them and to make sure they know what to do if flooding did affect them.
SEPA are sending letters out to kick-start the campaign, as well as leaflets with practical advice to thousands of targeted homes and businesses throughout Scotland.
An educational play will be performed in a number of primary schools to teach and encourages flood preparation.
SEPA operate a 24-hour flood warning and advice service, which provides information on the latest known risk of coastal and river flooding throughout Scotland. It also offers advice to anyone concerned about flooding. SEPA's flooding can be reached by calling 0845 988 1188 or visiting www.sepa.org.uk/flooding
