Stay safe in the storms
Advice on coping with winter weather

As winter settles in even further, you might be finding it difficult to do ordinary tasks. Getting out to the shops is difficult when it's icy underfoot, and driving is dangerous when the weather makes road conditions unpredictable. Even staying warm is a challenge for someone worried about fuel bills. So we've pulled together this selection of advice from agencies like the NHS, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), and the AA to help keep you safe and well this winter.
You'll find more information on looking after yourselves - and each other - elsewhere on this website. Perhaps you could look in on an elderly neighbour. Maybe you and some friends could earn some pocket money clearing pavements of snow. When you're going shopping, could you pick some up for someone less able than you?
