Hamilton is a town driven by public events. For example, in May of this year Hamilton was proud to host its second annual Food Festival, which offered up food from the Highlands to the Lowlands and from Perthshire to Poland. Hamilton Park Racecourse is not only home to many thoroughbred horse races, such as the Glasgow Stakes, but has also staged concerts by artists such as competitors from X-Factor and Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
